Abstract

We report a case of fulminant hepatitis in a patient with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome who was receiving standard chemotherapy for Burkitt lymphoma. Adenovirus hepatitis was not suspected early in this case because of its low incidence in this population. Adenovirus hepatitis should be considered early in patients with human immunodeficiency virus and receiving standard chemotherapy.
