Abstract

Cadaveric dissections have demonstrated the precarious nature of the axillary nerve with relatioship to three common sports medicine shoulder procedures: the anteroinferior acromioplasty and rotator cuff repair incision, the inferior capsular shift procedure, and the posterior portal for shoulder arthroscopy.
