Dr. Kurt Yaeger is a dual-trained endovascular Neurosurgeon, specialized in treating vascular disorders of the brain and spine. He completed residency and fellowship training in neurosurgery and endovascular neurosurgery at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. At Mount Sinai, he also completed a BioDesign fellowship, during which time he invented and patented a new catheter for the minimally invasive treatment of brain AVMs and aneurysms. Prior to residency, he attended medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. For his undergraduate degree in Biology, Dr. Yaeger attended Lafayette College in Easton, PA, and he is originally from the north shore of Boston, MA.

Research interests

As a dual-trained endovascular Neurosurgeon, Dr. Yaeger treats patients with vascular disorders of the brain and spine, including aneurysms, strokes, vascular malformations, and a range of other neurological conditions. His research interests include investigating the safety and efficacy of new devices to treat diseases of the brain and spine. Dr. Yaeger sees innovation as the key to providing new treatment options for patients with neurovascular conditions, and has made it his mission to find safer and more effective ways to treat his patients, in the least invasive method possible.
