Dr. Arnell is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and Hospitalist at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. She completed her medical school training at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and her residency at Baylor College of Medicine and received the Resident Teacher Award for her work in the Academy of Resident Educators. 

Research interests

Dr. Arnell has a specific interest in teaching Quality Improvement and Patient Safety to residents and medical students for healthcare improvement. She has received national training in these areas as a prior Chief Resident of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Arnell has published and presented nationally in QI and teaching initiatives, including her most recent development of a formal curriculum for resident event reporting for AAMC’s MedEdPortal. She is an active member of several hospital committees focused on safety and process improvement. Dr. Arnell enjoys mentoring residents with their own projects, from improvement ideas to presentation and publication. Her goal is to ensure that all residents have significant exposure, participation, and dedication to healthcare improvement throughout their training.
