Abstract

This self-directed learning module highlights advances in the evaluation and treatment of lumbosacral pain. It is a section of the chapter on rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and soft tissue disorders for the Self-Directed Medical Knowledge Program Study Guide for practitioners and trainees in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Advances that are covered include work- and sports-related lumbosacral pain and the discrimination between objective and subjective aspects of low back examination.
