Abstract

The focus of this review is to describe advances in threedimensional (3D) organoids reported in the literature with an emphasis on the engineering of microfluidic device platforms for investigating neuro-organoids. Furthermore, the paper will assess current limitations in microfluidic design that must be addressed for realizing the full potential of brain-on-a-chip devices.
