A modified watershed algorithm for automated segmentation of autofluorescence microscopy images

Abstract

Segmentation of single cells within microscopy images is important for heterogeneity analysis. However, cell clumps are challenging for traditional methods. Here, we present a new watershed algorithm that separates cell clumps with high accuracy.
