Abstract
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the ninth most common malignancy worldwide and classically presents with a triad of flank pain, palpable abdominal mass, and gross hematuria. However, in clinical practice, the diagnosis of RCC is often discovered incidentally on imaging evaluation for nongenitourinary-related symptoms with the majority of cases not identified until advanced stages in the disease due to the asymptomatic presentation. There are numerous biomarkers that have emerged which may aid in the management of patients with RCC which will present in this chapter.
