Abstract

We present a case of a humeral metastasis from a mucin-producing adenocarcinoma of urachal origin, mimicking a primary bone tumor, in a 25-year-old man. Our emphasis is that the known tendency of the mucin-producing adenocarcinomas to calcify may extend to metastases. In bone, it can lead to radiologic misinterpretation, especially when the bone disease is the first metastatic appearance of an atypically evolutive adenocarcinoma.
