Abstract

Struma lymphomatosa (Hashimoto's thyroiditis), carcinoma, and lymphoma of a single thyroid gland developed in an elderly woman, who presented with a history of rapidly enlarging goiter associated with mild dysphagia. Except for the presence of goiter, the results of the physical and laboratory examinations were negative. A total thyroidectomy was performed, followed by irradiation therapy to the neck.
