Abstract

Concrete is investigated on the meso-level, where emphasis is given to the effects of pores of inclusions (aggregates). The dispersing medium, where the aggregates are embedded, is treated as an elastoviscoplastic porous material containing also a liquid phase. The mathematical model employed applies to saturated and saturated-unsaturated flow in the deforming porous medium. A finite element approach is used for the investigation of time-dependent and time-independent behavior of concrete.
