Abstract
One of the objectives of the Educating Prospective Engineers for Public Policy (EPEPP) project is the preparation of engineering/public policY case histories and their dissemination by the ASEE Case Library for use in engineering courses nationwide. The special aspect of the EPEPP cases will be their explicit incorporation of the public policy process as a force impacting on the practice of engineering. This paper begins with a general discussion of the use of cases in engineering education and the need to incorporate public policy considerations into engineering courses. The process of developing the EPEPP cases and the plans for testing and disseminating them are described.
