Abstract

As people live longer in the new millennium, it becomes a necessity to develop affordable technologies to improve the quality of life. This paper provides an overview of such techniques in drug delivery and clinical care, namely, (i) health care from organ functions to the cell behaviors, (11) the development of implantable biosensors and instrumentation, (iii) the process and visualization systems, and (iv) nanotechnology for drug delivery. The goal is to stimulate cross-disciplinary research in the circuits and systems society aimed towards optimal clinical care and personalized therapeutic intervention.
