Abstract

In this paper we describe the possibility to define a homogenised constitutive law for periodic assemblies of elastic bodies in contact. Such a law is constructed starting from a large number of numerical experiments, then the global properties of the material are derived from the experiments and used in global computations which give results in good agreement with usual 'heterogeneous' computations.
