The workshop targeted both the micro/nano level and the macro level of biomedical systems. This invitation workshop brought together a selected group of about 40 worldclass experts in the areas of biology, engineering and public and exnvironmental health for a full-day interaction and discussion in the Lister Hill Auditorium.",
