Abstract

The evidence suggests that the tubero-infundibular DA systems projecting into the medial palisade zone of the median eminence release DA as a PIF and that PRL can produce its main inhibitory effects on PRL and LH secretion and its behavioural changes via increasing DA turnover in the medial palisade zone and lateral palisade zone, and influencing DA turnover in the nucleus accumbens and medial caudate, respectively.
