Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive review of injuries to the major blood vessels of the neck and thoracic outlet and to establish an algorithm for treatment. The surgical anatomy of the region as it pertains to operative exposure is reviewed in detail, and recent developments in the diagnosis and methods of repair for both blunt and penetrating injuries and the results of treatment are stressed.
