Abstract

To the Editor: Christie and Marallo's article* on the conversion to Système International (SI) units is yet another strong plea to get on with it. Although the issue of SI units has been contentious, the authors have chosen not to acknowledge the legitimacy of the views of others, whom they characterize by their “continued bickering, foot dragging, and very spotty cooperation.” Assume for the moment that the bickerers and foot draggers are, in part, intelligent physicians.
