Abstract

The mesenteric circulation consists of arterial, venous, and lymphatic vessels of the abdominal organs. This vascular territory can be affected by a variety of vascular pathologies, most of which are asymptomatic, but can be occasionally catastrophic. Therefore, early diagnosis of mesenteric vascular disease requires a high degree of clinical suspicion and use of appropriate imaging techniques.
