Abstract

Purpose: To report neuro-ophthalmic findings in four patients with the anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase (anti-GAD) syndrome. Design: Retrospective case series. Participants: Four patients with anti-GAD antibody syndrome. Methods: Review of all cases of anti-GAD antibody syndrome with neuroophthalmic findings at three academic tertiary care centers. Main outcome measures: Neuro-ophthalmic findings. Results: Four patients with neuro-ophthalmic findings (including nystagmus, ophthalmoplegia, and diplopia) related to anti-GAD antibody syndrome are reviewed. Conclusion: Anti-GAD antibody syndrome may be associated with neuro-ophthalmic findings.
