Abstract
The NR4A subfamily includes three members, Nur77, Nurr1, and NOR-1, which belong to orphan nuclear receptor superfamily. These factors play essential roles in cell proliferation, growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Furthermore, dysregulation of these factors has been implicated in several human diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease, immunological diseases, vascular disease and tumor. In this article, we will review the structure and functions of these factors as well as their relationship with diseases.
