Abstract

Deterioration of the function of a transplanted kidney without obvious cause is usually considered a rejection. Continued deterioration of the renal transplant function should alert the physician to the possible presence of other - less common - cause of renal failure after renal transplantation. We report here 3 patients in whom deterioration of the renal transplant function occurred as a result of ureteral obstruction by retroperitoneal fibrosis.
