Abstract

Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is currently defined as [1]: An urge to move the limbs with or without sensations Worsening at rest Improving with activity Worsening in the evening or night. The diagnosis of RLS is exclusively based on these four criteria, all of which are required to make the diagnosis. A validated diagnostic phone interview [2], rating scales [3] and quality-of-life scales [4] have all been developed based on these features.
