Abstract

Securing a skin graft with continuous sutures or multiple sutures is tedious work. The authors have tried skin closure tape for this purpose, but it often lifts free after several days. Small or medium sized vascular clips will secure a graft quickly and easily, regardless of its size. In 7 to 10 days the clips can be brushed or washed off without causing the patient any pain. There are no suture 'track' marks to contend with, which helps the cosmetic effect.
