Abstract

This paper presents the numerical procedure used and the results obtained for full coupling between damage and intrinsic permeability in a recently developed model for heat and mass transfer and damage analysis of concrete at high temperature. A formula describing effects of damage on intrinsic permeability is numerically tested. A numerical example concerning high temperature behaviour of high performance concrete structure is presented, showing a considerable effect of damage-intrinsic permeability coupling on concrete hygrothermal performance.
