Abstract

This book covers the general, technical, and clinical aspects of SBRT for spinal metastasis. Specific scenarios such as reirradiation and epidural spinal cord compression are covered in two separate chapters. Fractionation schedules are a controversial issue that is covered in a dedicated chapter. There are also two chapters on complications associated with spinal SBRT, namely radiation-induced myelopathy and other serious complications such as radiation-induced radiculopathy/plexopathy, vertebral compression fracture and pain flare. There is also a chapter covering histological changes after spinal SBRT.
