N2 - Stress echocardiography (SE) is currently a widely accepted method for the diagnostic and prognostic assessment of coronary artery disease. This article reviews new concepts in SE, such as new stress techniques, new methods of endocardial border detection, strain, tissue Doppler velocities, and others. Although some of these techniques are in their infancy, we believe that they will become widely accepted.
