Testing physician knowledge base in critical care medicine

Abstract

Written tests are the primary form used for formal evaluation of physician knowledge base in critical care medicine. Examinations are available for fellows in critical care training, subspecialty certification, and physicians who have completed subspecialty training. Available testing programs in these areas are described.
