Abstract
The Alcohol Rehabilitation Unit, Bethesda, combines 7 aspects in a multifaceted approach. Primary effort has been given to the inpatient unit and appears to have some success, insofar as no patient has been readmitted, although many return biweekly for followup. Current plans are for more detailed outpatient programs but, because of staffing difficulties, these have not as yet been provided.
