Abstract

In the management of evaluation of several of these birthmarks, it is advantageous, if not imperative, to apply a multidisciplinary approach. The patients benefit most from a cooperative team of physicians, often including the pediatrician, dermatologist, plastic surgeon, radiologist, and pathologist. Because of the often extensive presentation of many of these lesions, such an approach is extremely useful in planning their evaluation and management.
