Abstract
A procedure for estimating the thermal microstresses is presented, which is based on the joint use of homogenization theory and a generalization of Eshelby's inhomogeneity problem. An application is given for a biphase composite under uniform thermal load, and thus in condition of vanishing macrostresses.
