Abstract
A study was conducted on the flow over stented vessels. The study was performed for three-dimensional stent structures. Stents were found to restore the size of narrowed vessels and provided many advantages over surgery and balloon angioplasty in treating vascular diseases. It was observed that the flow in the cross-streamwise direction contributed approximately 10% of the flow shear.
