Abstract
Thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH) test may be used to diagnose suspected Graves' ophthalmopathy with euthyroidism. This test stimulates the anterior pituitary to release thyrotropin, which reaches a peak serum concentration in about 30 min and which can be determined by radio immuno assay. Hyperthyroid patients and those with suspected Graves' ophthalmopathy mostly do not respond to TRH stimulation. (Francois - Ghent)
