Ventricular catheter in the cistern of the transverse fissure: A cause of shunt malfunction

Abstract

We report a case of shunt malfunction despite a working flushing device and free cerebrospinal fluid flow from the ventricular catheter. The ventricular end of the catheter had been placed in the cistern of the transverse fissure.
