Dr. Jacobi received her MD degree from The University of Texas McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas. After one year of general surgery residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York, Dr. Jacobi transferred back to Houston where she completed her anatomic and clinical pathology residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where she held the position of chief resident (2015-2017). After residency, she completed her surgical pathology fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital, followed by cytopathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Jacobi joined Houston Methodist Hospital as a full-time staff pathologist in 2019. Dr. Jacobi is a general surgical pathologist and cytopathologist. She is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, as well as cytopathology, by the American Board of Pathology.

Dr. Jacobi is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, American Society of Cytopathology, College of American Pathologists, Houston Society of Clinical Pathologists, Texas Society of Pathologists, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. Dr. Jacobi is also the current secretary of the Young Pathologists’ Section of the Texas Society of Pathologists (2020-2021).

Research interests

Dr. Jacobi's current research interest is in the use of cytology specimens for evaluation of biomarkers. She is also involved in studies relating to genitourinary and breast pathology.
