Dr. Harris’ research focuses on clinical, basic science, and translational aspects of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. His primary research interest within this field lies in arthroscopic hip preservation surgery, femoroacetabular impingement, hip labral tears, hip chondrolabral pathology, hip capsular management, extra-articular impingement (anterior inferior iliac spine subspine impingement, iliopsoas impingement, trochanteric-pelvic impingement), peritrochanteric (gluteus medius/minimum abductor tears/tendinopathy, trochanteric bursitis), and deep gluteal space disorders (proximal hamstring tendon pathology, ischiofemoral impingement, sciatic tunnel disorders). His emphasis is on both short- and long-term patient-reported clinical outcomes of arthroscopic hip preservation surgery in slowing or preventing hip arthritis, improving pain and function, and returning patients to active lifestyles without hip disease.
