Abstract
Ultimately what the patient sees is the soft tissue envelop and not the underlying skeletal structures that support the facial surfaces and volumes. Thus reliable soft tissue predications would be invaluable. This chapter discusses the complexity of the soft tissue response to repositioning the skeletal components through various mathematical techniques that can increasingly provide predictive models.
